Our boat
Velas do Rio's boat is a modern sailing catamaran with plenty of space inside and out, comfortably fitting up to 17 guests.
Wide and super stable, it’s the perfect choice for a relaxing and fun day at sea.
At the back, there's a spacious and cozy cockpit, and up front, two large nets with colorful beanbags — perfect for lounging and soaking up the sun!
Inside, you'll find a bright, open lounge with a table for ten, a fully equipped kitchen, and two bathrooms for your comfort.
To make your day even better, the boat also has fresh and saltwater showers, 220V outlets, a
Bluetooth sound system, a double BBQ grill, and for swimming fun, a
giant floating mat — a favorite with kids and adults alike!

Commander
Born in France and raised in Rio, Jerome fell in love with the sea from a very young age.
His mother says that his first words were “la mer” (the sea)!
Jerome surfed many waves on Rio’s beaches during the 1980s, between Barra and Arpoador, and traveled the world in search of barrels and perfect waves.
Accomplished surfer, kitesurfer, diver and sailor, he is also a paraglider, hanglider and pendular ULM pilot and instructor, and built his own 18-foot plywood and fiberglass sailboat.
Back in Brazil, he commanded a Ranger 22 and a Delta 32 before making the decision that would forever change his life: buy a catamaran to live from his passion — sailing!
